The MNCH Technical Advisor will deliver expert technical support for a multi-country initiative with multi-million-dollar funding, currently being implemented across Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Senegal, and Ghana. The primary objective of this program is to expedite the adoption and utilization of critical interventions—including lifesaving tools—for the prevention, detection, and treatment of pre-eclampsia and maternal anemia, two key drivers of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality in low-resource environments.

This position will deliver specialized technical guidance in maternal and newborn health, encompassing project intervention design, implementation research, quality of care frameworks, and quality assurance processes. The Advisor will integrate MNCH clinical care models and technical clinical considerations into the development, adaptation, implementation, and assessment of care models across project countries.

The MNCH Technical Advisor will collaborate closely with the Program Manager, MERL Manager, Consortium partners, country teams, and Unities.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Key duties encompass analyzing data to identify trends, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires overseeing daily operations, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement through process optimizations and performance metrics. Additionally, accountability for risk assessment, compliance with regulatory requirements, and reporting on key performance indicators is essential.
