POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Assistant will provide essential support to NEAR’s financial operations in the Nairobi office by handling daily finance functions, such as drafting purchase orders, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining strict adherence to organizational policies, internal procedures, and donor mandates. This position will play a key role in maintaining precise financial documentation, generating timely reports, and facilitating efficient collaboration during audits and month-end closing procedures.

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates who are qualified accountants.
With a minimum of one year of professional experience in finance or accounting roles that encompass budgeting, reporting, and compliance, the ideal candidate will bring demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and the management of donor budgets.
Proven expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications and financial analytics software is essential.
