Responsibilities include overseeing the complete spectrum of benefits administration, from managing medical insurance, pension, and welfare programs to handling enrollments, terminations, and modifications in benefits. Additionally, the role involves addressing employee inquiries, coordinating escalations with providers, and collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and benefits providers to uphold service delivery standards. Conducting annual benefits reviews, monitoring utilization trends, and facilitating employee communications are also key duties.
As the primary liaison for occupational health and safety inquiries, this role involves coordinating pre-employment and periodic medical assessments, managing FIBA claims procedures, documenting injuries and incidents, and ensuring adherence to DISH reporting standards across all operational markets.
Overseeing the wellness and mobility support function involves organizing quarterly wellness initiatives, supervising gym and fitness provider partnerships, evaluating program impact, and facilitating employee relocation and international assignment processes—such as coordinating visa applications, work permits, and immigration documentation.
This position also oversees vendor management, ensures SLA compliance via Fresh service or similar platforms, tracks purchase orders and invoices, and maintains the reporting and dashboard infrastructure to enhance transparency and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
Seeking a candidate with a strong background in HR operations, benefits administration, or HR Shared Services, demonstrating hands-on experience in employee benefits, occupational health coordination, or global mobility assistance—preferably within an international setting.
Proficiency in Kenyan labor law, specifically the Work Injury Benefits Act (FIBA) 2007 and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DISH) requirements, along with hands-on experience in occupational health or work injury initiatives and familiarity with East African employment regulations.
A degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or Psychology—preferably at the master’s level or with HR certification—alongside a robust analytical skill set and demonstrated experience leveraging HR data to enhance operational efficiency.
