Our client, a prominent telecommunications provider, is seeking to appoint a Trade Development Representative.
Job purpose
To prioritize retailer visits aimed at enhancing awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.
Key duties involve overseeing daily operations to align with organizational objectives, managing cross-functional teams, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, the role entails analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership. Collaborating with stakeholders across departments, maintaining budgets, and fostering innovation are integral components of this position. The successful candidate will be expected to lead projects from inception to completion, mentor team members, and uphold high standards of accountability and professionalism in all endeavors.
Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores, while ensuring smooth SSO & Agent mapping processes.
Regularly visit designated SOS and Agents in alignment with established route plans (beat plans) to ensure consistent call rates.
Ensure all necessary transaction tools are provided at SSO and agent outlets while delivering comprehensive training to SOS and Trash Agents on operational processes.
Conduct anti-money laundering (AML) training sessions and assess agent proficiency, with a focus on educating staff on AML regulations and simplified due diligence obligations (SOS) regarding the Know Your Customer (KYC) process as it pertains to the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.
Float and stock management responsibilities include monitoring and strictly adhering to the 1.5x stock rule for agents, while ensuring Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient SIM inventory for seamless new registrations and activations.
Develop and enforce merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.
