The ICT Assistant for Network Administration will report directly to the Head of ICT and is tasked with evaluating information risk, implementing corrective actions for identified IT security and risk vulnerabilities across Kenya Tea Packers. This role involves collaborating with the Database Administrator, Business Intelligence, and Reporting teams to coordinate ICT system support. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining secure network connectivity within Keep’s offices, ensuring the integrity and security of all company systems.

Oversee and administer all communication channels while troubleshooting networking issues by proactively implementing preventive measures for the IT network, systems, and software applications.
Prepare and present detailed findings and actionable recommendations regarding identified vulnerabilities to the Head of ICT to facilitate prompt corrective measures.
Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments utilizing IT security tools and established methodologies to identify and report any security or risk exposures present within the IT network, systems, and software applications.
Analyzes workflow, access, information, and security requirements in consultation with users to determine network specifications, then develops router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
Maintains optimal network performance through continuous monitoring and analysis, as well as proactive performance tuning; diagnoses and resolves network issues; and escalates unresolved problems to vendors as needed.
Develops and implements network access protocols while continuously monitoring and evaluating system security to safeguard the network infrastructure. Maintains comprehensive and up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance with security standards and operational efficiency.
Regular evaluation of firewall rules, configurations, and logs is conducted in collaboration with the Head of Enhanced Cyber Defense and Security. This process involves establishing access privileges, implementing control frameworks, and allocating resources to strengthen cyber defense measures effectively.
The ICT Manager will receive support in evaluating and proposing enhancements to key ICT policies, including the Disaster Recovery Plan, the Company Technology Infrastructure and Systems strategy, and the Business Continuity Planning Standard Operating Procedures.
We maintain, update, and monitor the ICT support helpdesk system to ensure seamless functionality. Additionally, we deliver prompt, reliable, and ongoing technical assistance to all users of the information and telecommunication systems.
Provide foundational training and technical assistance to users on network access and software application utilization while collaborating with the ICT Manager to ensure accurate documentation of all information systems.
Collaborate with vendor support representatives to assess and revise Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and address technical issues impacting end-user hardware, software, as well as MPLS, SD-WAN, and internet connectivity.
Ensure that all PCs, laptops, and servers within the domain/network operate with licensed and up-to-date operating systems, as well as the latest versions of endpoint security software.
Ensure seamless interconnection of all computers with a variety of systems, such as validation systems, file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.
Collaborate with the Head of ICT to develop the annual ICT training capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) budgets.
Execute any additional tasks as directed by either the Systems Administrator or the Head of ICT, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
