Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing project execution, team leadership, and strategic planning to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Act as a primary liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication, resolve conflicts, and align cross-functional initiatives with company-wide goals. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and accountability. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards while maintaining meticulous documentation of all processes and outcomes.

Deliver comprehensive logistical assistance for on-site operations, such as sample collection and data processing.

Assist in the execution of laboratory functions and facilitate the initiation and maintenance of primary cell line cultures.

Maintain and oversee stem cell cultures and biobanked cell lines to uphold their quality and viability.

Conduct or ganoid differentiation following established laboratory protocols.

Perform biobanking operations, specifically cryopreservation and sample storage.

Perform comprehensive molecular biology assays and facilitate cellular characterization protocols.

Maintain precise and up-to-date data records while providing assistance to data management operations and Digital Sequence Information (DSI) processes.

Ensure strict adherence to project documentation standards, laboratory biosafety regulations, and established quality assurance procedures throughout all operations.

Facilitate the enhancement of capacity-building efforts while fostering productive partnerships with World Fish and CARS project collaborators.

Facilitate stakeholder engagement endeavors, such as training programs and outreach campaigns, to foster collaboration and communication.

Develop and uphold rigorous biosafety and ethical research standards, ensuring strict compliance and fostering a culture of accountability throughout the organization.

We assist in the preparation and development of manuscripts and publications, contributing to their drafting and refinement.

Execute any additional duties deemed necessary to support operational objectives.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a leadership or management role. Proficiency in project management software and strong analytical skills are essential. The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and demonstrate excellent communication abilities. Additionally, experience with data analysis and reporting is highly desirable. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is also necessary. Candidates should possess a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to mentor junior team members.

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in molecular biology, biotechnology, animal science, cell biology, genetics, biomedical sciences, veterinary sciences, aquatic biology, or a closely related field is required.

With a diploma, a minimum of four years of relevant experience is required, or alternatively, two years of relevant experience is sufficient if accompanied by a degree.

Skilled in executing a wide array of molecular biology and biotechnology laboratory techniques with precision and efficiency.

Proven expertise in aseptic tissue culture methodologies is required.

Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including polymerase chain reaction (PCR), nucleic acid extraction, and gel electrophoresis, is required.

Proven proficiency in the management of biological specimens and laboratory instrumentation is required. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with the preparation, processing, and storage of biological samples, as well as the operation and maintenance of various laboratory equipment.

Capable of documenting laboratory procedures and findings with meticulous accuracy and thoroughness.

Proficient in biosafety protocols and laboratory quality management systems, with a solid grasp of their principles and applications.

Proficiency in stem cell culture methodologies or or ganoid system applications is required.

Proven expertise in cryopreservation techniques and biobanking operations is required.

Possesses a solid understanding of livestock or aquatic genetic resources.

Proficiency in genomics or sequencing processes is required.

Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIES) is required.

Proficiency in one or more frameworks such as ABS, DSI, or biodiversity governance is required.
