JOB PURPOSE
To streamline the processing of Reefer containers at the Mombasa port.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties aligned with the role’s core objectives. Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with organizational goals. Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to inform executive decision-making. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and resolving interdepartmental challenges. Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, vendors, and senior leadership, to maintain strong partnerships and drive mutual success. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.
Prepare and finalize export documentation for submission to customs authorities, ensuring all required forms and certifications are completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Process all documents within the PA system, specifically WATTS, ensuring accurate and timely handling of each submission.
Process PA port charges with diligence and accuracy. Ensure all financial transactions related to PA port fees are handled promptly and in compliance with established protocols. Maintain meticulous records of all charge processing activities and verify the completeness of each transaction. Report any discrepancies or irregularities immediately to the appropriate department for resolution. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and address any concerns related to port charge processing.
Ensure all export documentation is thoroughly completed and promptly submitted to the appropriate authorities for processing.
Upon arrival at the Port, verify the presence of Containers and record temperature readings for all reefer units both at entry and upon connection to designated plugging points.
Upon securing clearance from the appropriate regulatory authorities, shipments will be processed and released within the WATTS system.
Upon the vessel’s departure, ensure all plugging charges are diligently followed up on.
Upon completion of loading and the vessel’s departure, ensure follow-up actions on Certificates of Equivalency (COE’s) are conducted promptly.
