As the Communications & Marketing Specialist, you will contribute to Pathfinder International’s global communications and fundraising initiatives. Reporting directly to the Communications Director, your responsibilities will include assisting in the creation of communications materials, coordinating events, and producing digital content tailored for the website, social media platforms, and fundraising campaigns. Working closely with the Communications Director and Development Marketing Advisor, you will play a key role in strengthening Pathfinder’s brand presence among priority audiences.

Oversee and execute a range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Manage daily activities with precision, maintaining high levels of efficiency and accountability in all undertakings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project completion, resolve challenges, and optimize workflows for maximum productivity. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance performance metrics and contribute to long-term success. Regularly assess processes to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective measures as needed. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and ensuring seamless coordination. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while upholding rigorous quality control standards.

Provides comprehensive communications support by managing inquiries, drafting correspondence, and ensuring timely dissemination of information. Maintains organization and efficiency through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of communication strategies. Assists in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials to facilitate clear and effective messaging. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align messaging with organizational goals and ensures consistency across all channels. Handles sensitive information with discretion and adheres to confidentiality protocols.

Offer comprehensive editorial assistance to country teams, encompassing the creation and refinement of diverse content, such as blog posts, feature stories, one-pagers, policy briefs, and related materials.

Graphics and visuals are developed to cater to diverse audiences, such as donors, partners, and media outlets, ensuring effective communication and engagement across different stakeholder groups.

We are seeking a meticulous proofreader/copy editor to meticulously review and refine written content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as familiarity with various style guides (e.g., APA, Chicago, AP). The ideal candidate will possess exceptional language proficiency, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a commitment to maintaining high editorial standards. Responsibilities include correcting errors, ensuring adherence to style guidelines, enhancing readability, and verifying factual accuracy in diverse written materials such as articles, reports, marketing copy, and digital content.

Engagement with external stakeholders plays a pivotal role in fostering collaborative partnerships and enhancing organizational visibility, requiring proactive interaction with diverse audiences to achieve strategic objectives. This position demands the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with industry leaders, government officials, and community representatives while effectively communicating the organization’s mission, values, and initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills, adept negotiation techniques, and a results-driven mindset are essential to successfully represent the organization at conferences, networking events, and public forums, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and organizational goals.

Supports Pathfinder’s participation in high-priority global conferences by collaborating with partners to organize panels and events, promoting these events, preparing delegations, and handling post-conference follow-up activities.

Digital Marketing professionals strategically leverage online platforms to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive measurable growth. They analyze consumer behavior, optimize campaigns across search engines, social media, email, and other digital channels, and utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies continuously. Responsibilities include developing and executing multichannel marketing initiatives, managing budgets, tracking performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives. Strong analytical, creative, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, SEO/SEM platforms, and marketing automation software. Familiarity with content creation, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization is highly valued, as is the ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies.

Facilitate the implementation of marketing initiatives across various digital platforms, such as email campaigns, social media outreach, and web content development.

Update website content using the content management system (CMS) while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and intuitive navigation for users.

Implement fundamental SEO strategies to enhance the search visibility of digital content.

We are responsible for enhancing email marketing initiatives by creating compelling content, designing visually appealing layouts, and managing the timing of communications.

Monitor campaign performance and generate concise reports summarizing essential metrics, including engagement rates, website traffic trends, and email campaign effectiveness.

What You Bring:

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related discipline is mandatory for this position.

We seek candidates with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in communications and marketing roles.

Proficiency in modern design software applications (including Canva and Adobe products) and web-based tools, with particular emphasis on content management systems, is required.

Demonstrated expertise in leading and executing cross-functional projects, with a strong capacity to integrate and harmonize diverse team efforts. This encompasses the skill to strategically align and coordinate contributions from multiple departments or stakeholders.

Demonstrates a strong capacity to oversee all aspects of a project while delivering tasks with exceptional precision and quality.

Demonstrates a strong aptitude for effectively engaging and persuading key stakeholders through diplomatic approaches.
