Crafting and executing strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives represents a core responsibility of this role. Key duties involve overseeing project timelines, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Additionally, the position requires conducting thorough market research, analyzing performance metrics, and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership. Collaboration with stakeholders across departments is essential to align initiatives with broader company policies and priorities. The role also entails developing and implementing policies to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Regular reporting on progress, challenges, and opportunities is a critical function to maintain transparency and drive continuous improvement.

Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment throughout all facilities to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.

Perform scheduled inspections, diagnostic tests, and proactive maintenance on HVAC systems in strict adherence to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory safety protocols.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems at the component level, executing corrective repairs to enhance equipment longevity and minimize replacement expenses.

Maintain, repair, and upgrade air conditioning systems and related ventilation control systems to sustain optimal indoor air quality and comfort levels.

Design and execute preventive maintenance initiatives for HVAC systems, with the goal of enhancing operational dependability and minimizing unplanned interruptions.

You will supervise and evaluate HVAC work executed by external contractors or service providers to verify adherence to quality, safety, and performance requirements.

Maintain precise records and documentation for all HVAC-related operations, encompassing maintenance schedules, service reports, and technical schematics.

Guarantee accurate calibration and precise configuration of HVAC controls and automation systems to enhance energy efficiency and maintain operational consistency.

Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations during the handling of refrigerants, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Offer expert technical guidance and assistance to management and maintenance teams regarding HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, system upgrades, and best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager that are relevant to the role and aligned with business objectives.

The requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. Minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling tools essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and knowledge of GAAP standards preferred. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

A minimum qualification of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or an equivalent credential is mandatory.

Earned a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or an equivalent technical qualification from an accredited institution.

With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably within institutional, industrial, or commercial settings.

Proficiency in environmental and safety regulations pertaining to refrigerant handling and system maintenance is required.

Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.

Exhibits exceptional analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail when resolving complex issues.

Proven capability to strategically organize and prioritize maintenance tasks with efficiency.

You must demonstrate strong proficiency in maintaining accurate records and thorough documentation.

Proven capability to collaborate effectively within a team, communicate clearly and professionally, and build strong interpersonal relationships.
