Our client, a prominent telecommunications provider, is looking to hire a Trade Development Representative.

Job purpose

To concentrate on conducting channel visits aimed at enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIMs and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute a wide range of critical responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational excellence. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and team performance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor progress through data analysis, performance metrics, and regular evaluations to maintain high standards of accountability. Serve as a key liaison, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and project execution. Lead by example, mentoring team members and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation.

SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping – With a strategic focus, oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, specifically targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Consistently maintain call rates by conducting regular visits to SOS and Agents in accordance with approved route plans (beat plans).

The provision and delivery of essential business tools encompass supplying all necessary transaction instruments at SSO and agent outlets, alongside conducting comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents on operational procedures.

AML training and development initiatives involve educating agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, while also instructing Sub-Station Officers (SOS) on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, specifically in connection with the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.

Float and stock cover, as well as sales, must be closely monitored to guarantee adherence to the 1.5x stock rule for agents while ensuring sufficient SIM stock for new registrations and activations is available to SOS.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience. Applicants must meet educational prerequisites and possess demonstrated expertise in their field. Ideal candidates will have completed advanced studies and accumulated substantial hands-on experience in professional settings.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
