What You’ll Do

Execute consumer marketing initiatives throughout East Africa while concurrently providing strategic support for culturally tailored campaigns in other Sub-Saharan African markets.

Partner with diverse teams spanning marketing, music, partnerships, media, analytics, and creative to transform strategic concepts into fully executed campaigns.

Leverage both on-platform and off-platform data to uncover key audience behaviors, emerging market opportunities, and critical growth drivers, enabling the development of strategic marketing initiatives.

Craft comprehensive creative and media briefs in partnership with internal stakeholders and external agency collaborators.

Develop and execute strategies to acquire new users, enhance their engagement, and foster long-term retention across both Free and Premium audience segments.

Cultivate and establish collaborative relationships with local entities—including partners, creators, agencies, and cultural influencers—to enhance brand visibility and drive consumer engagement.

Evaluate campaign effectiveness and derive strategic insights to inform improvements for upcoming initiatives and market approaches.

Adapt global marketing strategies to align with local consumer preferences and market dynamics, ensuring relevance and impact across varied demographics and regions.

In collaboration with internal teams and regional partners, facilitate the development and execution of local music and cultural marketing initiatives.

Who You Are

With a minimum of four years of dedicated experience in consumer marketing, brand marketing, or campaign management within East Africa, you bring a strong foundation to this role.

You possess a proven track record of successfully operating across diverse Sub-Saharan African markets or executing impactful regional campaigns.

You possess a strong background in brand strategy, consumer insights, digital marketing, media planning, or project management.

You possess a proven track record of executing high-impact campaigns across digital enterprises, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, entertainment, or technology sectors.

With expertise in interpreting consumer and cultural insights, you possess the ability to craft compelling marketing strategies and campaigns that drive impactful results.

You possess strong proficiency in analyzing data and performance metrics to assess success and enhance marketing efficiency.

You must effectively balance several competing priorities without compromising on precision or the standard of your work.

You thrive in collaborative environments, seamlessly engaging with diverse teams, agencies, and stakeholders, each with unique perspectives and competing priorities.

You demonstrate a forward-thinking approach and thrive in dynamic settings, delivering actionable solutions with confidence and adaptability.
