Position Overview

The ECD Teacher under the CBC framework is tasked with designing and implementing competency-based educational activities tailored to young learners. This position places significant focus on fostering essential skills, values, and attitudes through dynamic, student-centered methodologies that equip children with the tools necessary for sustained academic and personal growth.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties encompassing project planning, team leadership, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and drive measurable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Monitor progress through key performance indicators, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet evolving business demands. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, cultivating professional growth and strengthening overall team performance. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.

Design and deliver daily lesson plans that seamlessly integrate the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) strands, including literacy, numeracy, environmental activities, psychomotor skills, and social-emotional learning.

Learner-centered facilitation involves guiding children through exploration, discovery, and problem-solving processes rather than relying on rote memorization techniques.

Conduct formative assessments utilizing specialized tools to gauge learners’ competencies, skills, and values.

Collaborate consistently with parents or guardians to reinforce and enhance students’ skills in the home environment.

Integrating national values, essential life skills, and a sense of social responsibility into everyday activities is a key responsibility of this role.

Incorporate play, projects, and experiential activities to cultivate competencies through engaging, hands-on learning methods.

Maintain accurate learner portfolios, progress reports, and assessment records in strict accordance with CBC guidelines to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation.

Minimum of one year of hands-on teaching experience in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECD) is required.
