Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Quality Assurance Manager will spearhead quality assurance operations, provide oversight of quality control initiatives throughout the supply chain, administer audits and compliance protocols, and direct quality teams to ensure strict adherence to both local and international food safety and export standards—including Global. A.P., HACCP, BRC, phytosanitary regulations, and any customer-specific mandates.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance systems, food safety protocols, and stringent quality standards to ensure avocado products meet specified criteria for maturity, size, color, firmness, appearance, weight, ripeness, and overall consistency.
Ensures stringent oversight of all supply chain processes to uphold adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Monitors supplier performance, evaluates product quality at various stages, and implements corrective actions when deviations occur. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to foster continuous improvement initiatives. Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience in project management or leadership is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of seven years of dedicated experience in quality assurance within the food processing sector, candidates should demonstrate a strong background in ensuring product safety and compliance.
Proficient in quality control protocols, testing methodologies, regulatory compliance, and food safety regulations.
Expertise in quality management systems, laboratory operations, audit processes, and export compliance regulations would be highly beneficial.
