Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. This position represents the initial level within the professional track, serving as a foundational entry point and training opportunity. Officers in this role will operate under the mentorship and oversight of a more experienced superior.

County Headquarters:

At this level, the role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities, including executing general administrative tasks, coordinating the enforcement of county regulations, and safeguarding county government property, assets, facilities, and inventory. Additionally, the position involves managing the upkeep of infrastructure and facilities, supervising transportation operations, and organizing office accommodation plans. The role also includes overseeing the procurement, development, and updating of office equipment and furniture, as well as coordinating meetings, conferences, and other special events. Furthermore, the position entails supervising the routine maintenance of buildings and furniture.

Field Administration encompasses the oversight and coordination of on-site operations to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing field teams, conducting site inspections, and resolving operational challenges to maintain efficiency and compliance. Responsibilities include documenting field activities, reporting discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and mitigate risks. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in relevant software tools and a thorough understanding of industry standards.

The officer will report to and work under the direction of a senior officer. Responsibilities at this level include building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; addressing public concerns and inquiries; tracking and assessing community initiatives; coordinating local resource mobilization efforts; encouraging citizen engagement in development programs; ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety standards; upholding ethical standards and principles of good governance; compiling and analyzing data on developmental activities; and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to organize public participation forums.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial. A recognized institution must award a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other related Social Science discipline.

A recognized credential in computer applications is required.
