Establish and manage production facilities for cookstoves, ensuring rigorous testing, adherence to quality standards, and full regulatory compliance, while also strengthening supply chains for both stoves and alternative fuels—including the critical final-mile distribution.
Drive the adoption of clean cooking solutions by implementing behavior change initiatives, conducting community engagement programs, and executing pilot tests of various fuels and appliances to evaluate their performance, efficiency, affordability, and user acceptability.
Provide specialized technical training to artisans, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and refugee-run businesses, focusing on key areas such as design principles, manufacturing processes, safety protocols, efficiency testing methods, and clean energy solutions—including alternative fuels and e-cooking technologies.
Deliver business coaching and capacity-building services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) owned by refugees and host communities, perform comprehensive market and consumer evaluations, pinpoint viable energy applications, and facilitate seamless integration of these opportunities into sustainable enterprise models and accessible financing channels.
Provide technical expertise to implement Results-Based Reimbursement (RBR) mechanisms, assist enterprises in maintaining regulatory compliance, and develop systems for capturing, validating, and reporting performance data in collaboration with the MEAL team.
Develop and execute monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEAL) frameworks, administer socio-economic, gender, and affordability assessments, and facilitate structured reporting processes for GIG and donor stakeholders.
Design and implement digital data collection and monitoring solutions, facilitate pilot initiatives in digital innovation such as mobile payments, smart metering, and remote monitoring, and enhance partner capabilities in data utilization and reporting.
Provide technical assistance to uphold environmental, gender, and social safeguards throughout all initiatives while ensuring adherence to relevant standards and requirements.
Document lessons learned, innovations, and best practices while developing analytical knowledge products. Organize and lead learning events, trainings, and workshops to enhance program learning, replication, and scale-up efforts.
Essential Requirements
Skilled professional holding a master’s degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or Mechanical/Environmental Engineering.
A university bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy or a closely related field is required, with expertise spanning ICS, Solar for DUE, Mini Grids, alternative fuels, HTC, and digital energy applications. Additionally, candidates must possess at least five years of hands-on experience in Solar for productive use and Mini Grids.
Professional with a bachelor’s degree from a university or advanced professional training in environmental and social safeguards, gender, and social inclusion, and at least five years of hands-on experience in environmentally friendly cooking technologies.
A professional with specialized advanced training in Results-Based Reimbursement/Financing Mechanisms, boasting over five years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing Results-Based Financing (RBF/RBR) frameworks. This includes expertise in establishing enterprise compliance protocols and designing robust reporting systems to track and measure outcomes effectively.
A candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Community Development or a closely related field, complemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in community liaison roles.
