Job Summary
This role falls within the Tax sub-service line of People Advisory Services, requiring a candidate with a strong grasp of tax principles and the ability to interpret technical tax issues impacting expatriates, local employees, and individuals. The ideal applicant will proactively recognize potential technical challenges and deliver effective, tailored solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
A bachelor’s degree in a business or finance-related discipline, awarded with at least upper second-class honors or an equivalent qualification, is required.
A professional accounting qualification, such as ARCA, CPA, or CA, would be advantageous.
With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience at a leading tax service provider, you will have overseen comprehensive expatriate tax matters for major multinational corporations. Your expertise should encompass precise tax calculations for expatriates, adherence to social security regulations, strategic guidance on the implications of international assignments and brief cross-border relocations, and the taxation of equity compensation. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the interplay between international tax frameworks, immigration protocols, and expatriate tax compliance.
Applicants must possess a minimum overall grade of B in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examinations, alongside a B in both English and Mathematics.
Proficient in the intricacies of tax and social security regulations, with comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation.
Proven expertise in utilizing tax and engaging with the Kenya Revenue Authority is essential.
Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office Suites.
