The Program Officer will facilitate the advancement of the educational and implementation research initiatives under the PEP MTCs program while spearheading institutional-level advocacy efforts. Seeking a qualified candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, along with experience in database management and API development. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in cloud computing environments are highly desirable.
A master’s degree in Public Health, Education, Research Methods, or a closely related discipline is required for this role.
A relevant Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a medical discipline—such as nursing, Clinical Medicine, or Laboratory Science—is required for this position.
A minimum of three years of professional experience in education research, advocacy, or health systems strengthening is required.
Demonstrated understanding of chronic mental disorders (CMDs), non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and the complexities surrounding workforce development initiatives in Kenya.
