To qualify for appointment, candidates must satisfy all constitutional and statutory mandates governing eligibility.
Pursuant to Section 133A (2) (a) of the Land Act CAP 280, candidates seeking this role must meet the eligibility criteria for appointment as a High Court judge. Consequently, applicants are required to possess the following qualifications:
Applicants must possess a law degree from an accredited university, or be admitted as advocates of the High Court of Kenya, or hold professional qualifications as magistrates, or demonstrate equivalent credentials in a common-law jurisdiction.
With a minimum of ten years of distinguished experience as an academic, legal practitioner, or in another relevant legal field, you would be an ideal candidate for this role.
Have accumulated, in total, a decade (10 years) of experience meeting the qualifications outlined in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above, whether obtained within Kenya or another Commonwealth common-law jurisdiction.
Alternative dispute resolution experience and qualifications are highly valued.
Demonstrate unwavering ethical standards, uncompromising integrity, and absolute impartiality, fully adhering to the provisions outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.
