Drive widespread adoption of clean cooking solutions by implementing behavior change initiatives, conducting community engagement efforts, and executing pilot demonstrations of various fuels and appliances to evaluate performance, efficiency, affordability, and user acceptance.
Provide specialized technical training to artisans, small and medium-sized enterprises, and refugee-run businesses, covering key areas such as design principles, manufacturing processes, safety protocols, efficiency evaluation methods, and clean energy solutions—including alternative fuels and eco-friendly cooking technologies.
Offer business coaching and capacity-building services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) owned by refugees and host communities, perform comprehensive market and consumer evaluations, pinpoint viable energy utilization prospects, and facilitate the integration of these opportunities into business models and financing strategies.
Provide technical expertise to implement Results-Based Reimbursement (RBR) mechanisms, ensuring enterprise compliance while establishing robust systems for recording, verifying, and reporting performance data in collaboration with the MEAL team.
Develop and execute comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEAL) frameworks, while designing and overseeing socio-economic, gender, and affordability surveys. Lead structured reporting efforts to ensure seamless communication and transparency with GIG and donor partners.
Develop and implement digital data collection and monitoring tools, facilitate digital innovation pilots such as mobile payments, smart metering, and remote monitoring, and enhance partner capabilities in data utilization and reporting.

Document lessons learned, innovations, and best practices while producing analytical knowledge products to enhance program learning, replication, and scale-up efforts. Additionally, design and facilitate learning events, trainings, and workshops to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across initiatives.
Sought-after qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. A highly qualified candidate with a master’s degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or Mechanical/Environmental Engineering is required.
A candidate holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy or a closely related field—such as ICS, Solar for DUE, Mini Grids, alternative fuels, HTC, and digital energy applications—along with at least five years of hands-on experience in Solar for productive use and mini grids is required.
