Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer, providing leadership to quality assurance functions while overseeing quality control initiatives throughout the supply chain. This role involves managing audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and supervising quality teams to uphold stringent standards. The position demands strict adherence to both local and international food safety protocols, including Global. A.P., HACCP, BRC, phytosanitary regulations, and customer-specific mandates.

Develop, implement, and sustain robust quality assurance protocols and food safety measures while establishing and enforcing strict quality standards across critical avocado attributes, including maturity, size, color, firmness, visual appearance, weight, ripeness, and overall product uniformity.

Ensure adherence to both local and international food safety regulations as well as export standards. Oversee internal quality audits and facilitate external inspections conducted by regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and export clients.

Responsible for addressing customer complaints and implementing corrective actions to ensure satisfaction and maintain quality standards. Investigates issues thoroughly, identifies root causes, and develops solutions to prevent recurrence. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve complaints efficiently and enhance overall service quality. Maintains detailed records of complaints and actions taken for reporting and compliance purposes. Ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the process.

Investigate customer and export partner quality complaints, perform thorough root-cause analysis, and establish corrective and preventive measures to minimize recurrence.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required.

A minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in quality assurance within the food processing sector is required.

Proficiency in quality control procedures, testing methodologies, regulatory compliance, and food safety standards is essential.

Experience in quality management systems, laboratory operations, audits, and export compliance is highly beneficial.
