We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee tax, audit, and compliance functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in tax planning, financial reporting, and regulatory adherence to ensure organizational integrity and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough tax audits, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and implementing robust compliance frameworks. Additionally, the role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex regulations. Proficiency in industry-standard software and a commitment to upholding ethical standards are essential requirements for this position.

Ensure the firm meets all statutory tax compliance obligations by supervising the accurate and timely filing of tax returns and payments.

Lead tax compliance engagements encompassing corporate income tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Excise Duty, NSSF, SHIP, Housing Levy, and Installment Tax filings via the tax platform.

Provide expert tax advisory services encompassing strategic tax planning, transaction structuring, regulatory compliance assessments, and optimization methodologies to enhance fiscal efficiency.

Perform comprehensive evaluations of tax health and conduct thorough assessments of tax risks, delivering practical recommendations and detailed remediation strategies.

You will serve as the primary advocate for clients in engagements with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), handling audits, compliance evaluations, objections, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) proceedings, and matters before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

Track legislative and regulatory developments diligently, providing clients with prompt updates and advisory communications.

Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership regarding potential tax, financial, and regulatory risks that may impact the firm and its clients.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in a related field, preferably holding a degree in a relevant discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and convey complex ideas. Prior experience managing projects or leading teams will be advantageous. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards is also preferred.

Seeking candidates with a CPA(K) certification and an active IC PAK membership in good standing, or an equivalent ARCA/CA qualification.
