Position Summary:

As the Coffee Strategic Planning Manager for Africa, you will collaborate with the APAC & Africa Regional Coffee Program Manager to advance Nespresso’s coffee sustainability and sourcing strategy throughout the continent. Your role will encompass leading strategic planning efforts, implementing performance-driven sourcing initiatives, advancing sustainability programs, fostering stakeholder relationships, and overseeing pivotal transformation projects—all with the aim of fulfilling regional and global objectives.

Assist in formulating and implementing regional coffee sustainability strategies.

Examine data meticulously and generate actionable insights to inform key strategic decisions.

Oversee the performance-driven selection of suppliers while ensuring adherence to sustainability standards and compliance requirements throughout the sourcing process.

Responsible for managing digital traceability programs and ESG performance enhancement initiatives.

Track budget utilization and ensure adherence to financial sustainability objectives.

Research and secure potential funding sources while facilitating the advancement of innovative projects.

Conduct operational reviews and serve as the regional representative in global meetings.

Develop and nurture collaborations with nearby organizations while advancing sustainability messaging efforts.

Your experience should encompass the following key areas:

A master’s degree in business management, agronomy, or a closely related discipline is required.

We seek candidates with at least seven years of hands-on professional experience alongside a robust understanding of business dynamics and strategic decision-making.

Demonstrated expertise in crafting strategic initiatives, leading organizational change, and fostering productive stakeholder relationships.

Accomplished in overseeing projects, fostering clear communication, and demonstrating effective leadership abilities.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability principles and the coffee industry.

Proven capability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse, multicultural teams, as well as professionals from various disciplines, ensuring cohesive and productive working relationships.

Proficiency in sustainable sourcing, agricultural practices, or ESG-related projects is highly desirable.

Oversee a range of critical duties including managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and drive sustainable growth. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align objectives, resolve challenges, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize their potential. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices while upholding ethical and professional conduct at all times.
