Job Summary:
This role offers an exceptional chance to engage a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, the selected individual will deliver comprehensive leadership, strategic guidance, and operational oversight for the finance department. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the work of the accounting team.
Conducts a comprehensive range of duties encompassing primary responsibilities and associated tasks. Responsible for executing key functions integral to operational success, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Performs essential duties that may include, but are not limited to, managing projects, coordinating teams, overseeing processes, and implementing strategic initiatives. Accountable for delivering measurable outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements. May also provide guidance to junior staff, contribute to decision-making processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Oversee all accounting functions for the Group company, encompassing Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), and legal counsel, as well as Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Produce and release accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
Prepare regulatory reports by coordinating all necessary documentation and submissions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established timelines and compliance standards.
Assess complex technical accounting matters to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Facilitate the completion of the monthly and annual financial closing procedures.
Maintain rigorous oversight of financial transactions and reporting guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Manage tax exposure and develop strategic tax planning initiatives.
Oversee adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal government reporting obligations and tax filing deadlines with precision and timeliness.
Develop and document comprehensive business processes and accounting policies to ensure robust internal controls are maintained and enhanced.
Additional controller responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

ARCA or CPA certification is a mandatory requirement for this position.
More than a decade of cumulative accounting and finance expertise, including audit experience, is required.
Professional experience at a leading accounting firm, specifically one of the Big Four—PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), or BDO—is required.
A strong understanding of tax legislation and generally accepted accounting principles is required.
Proficiency in managing KRA tax audits and sustaining strong relationships with the Kenya Revenue Authority is essential.
Earned an advanced degree in accounting, demonstrating a high level of academic achievement and specialized knowledge in the field.
