Retail Training Manager

Job Purpose

To develop and implement training programs for retail staff, enhancing sales performance through effective training and sales strategies to ensure customers receive expert advice and the best possible shopping experience.

Job Responsibility and Accountability

Develop and manage the annual training calendar for retail staff.
Work closely with store managers to ensure training initiatives align with business goals.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the retail team to ensure understanding and execution of training plans.
Conduct training sessions on sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.
Evaluate training effectiveness and update programs as needed.
Coordinate with store managers to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain training records and provide regular reports to management.
Coordinate retail product training with the commercial department based on the set budgets, ensuring equal opportunity for all retail staff by the end of each financial year.
Develop e-learning modules and online training resources to complement in-person training.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in retail training.
Implement new techniques and technologies to enhance training efforts.
Gather feedback from staff and customers to continuously improve training standards.
Develop specialized training modules for new and high-priority products.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualification and Experience

Education: Degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in retail sales with 2 years in retail training.
