The BBC Studios Events team is an award-winning production unit specialising in producing and broadcasting large scale national and international events which are rich in ambition, emotion and creativity.
Responsible for producing some of the biggest moments in in British and world history, such as the Diamond Jubilee Concert, the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Invictus Games, and the New Year’s Eve Fireworks, as well as a range of high-profile documentaries, they provide the opportunity to work on a vast range of content, in a variety of genres, in some of the most exciting locations in the UK and around the world.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Management Assistant to work across the live events and broadcasts for the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen, with start date of 9th May until 5th June . The successful candidates will provide production support on what will be one of the largest and most watched Events of the year
The PMA is a key point of contact and provides administrative support to the production team(s) in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of productions.
This role would require being able to travel into the office as well as remote working.
Role Responsibility
You’ll work with your editorial colleagues to deliver outstanding, distinctive content by supporting in the delivery of editorial ambitions within operational and financial constraints. Contributing to a professional pan-BBC production management community, you’ll support the drive for continuous improvements of workflows and contribute to and support a creative and collaborative culture.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have worked as a Production Management Assistant or in a directly comparable administrative role within TV broadcast and will have an interest in BBC Studios
Minimum experience of two recent television broadcast credits is essential.
You will have experience of providing administrative support in a busy production environment along with the ability to work in pressurised and challenging situations.
You’ll be able to manage relationships effectively whilst working with a variety of people, including VIPS and work collaboratively within a diverse team.
You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, and will be able to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
You will be a good communicator, hold good attention to detail when working at pace, have experience of BBC systems, and a real can-do attitude
