The purpose of this position is to ensure that all food sold by the supervisor under our name and image complies with national legislation while keeping guests’ feedback and experience positive as they dine in our restaurant.

The perioperative nurse is responsible for delivering highly specialized clinical care to individuals who are scheduled to undergo surgical or invasive treatments. This professional must ensure that patients receive safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of their procedures.

This position entails the maintenance of stringent standards in areas such as patient safety, infection control, aseptic surgery procedures, precise documentation, and adherence to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. As a perioperative nurse, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, theater staff members, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical processes, optimal patient outcomes, and efficient operation of the theater environment.

This job is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of quality enhancement programs, risk mitigation strategies, device and tool maintenance protocols, as well as compliance with medical facility regulations and surgical suite guidelines. As a result, this position has an immediate impact on exceptional service provision and gratifying patient care.

The primary tasks and obligations of this role include managing a team of sales representatives, overseeing customer accounts, developing new business relationships, coordinating marketing initiatives, preparing financial reports, analyzing performance metrics, providing coaching to salespeople, maintaining customer data accuracy and tracking performance trends. The individual responsible for this role oversees the completion of the pre-operative assessment process, which entails verifying that all necessary steps have been taken in accordance with established protocols. This includes reviewing the surgical checklist and ensuring that all relevant nursing documentation is accurate and up to date. In the event of any discrepancies or inconsistencies, the individual is required to bring these matters to the attention of concerned staff members and take appropriate action to resolve them promptly.

The candidate will be responsible for receiving patients before surgical procedures, obtaining a post-operative care plan from the attending nurse, and executing a comprehensive pre-op checklist.

Possess expertise in operating room protocols and recovery room practices. Proficient in performing tasks such as managing the narcotic cabinet.

The successful execution of pre-operative care for elective surgeries within the operating room environment requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities include coordinating with patients, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless surgical experience. This position demands strong communication abilities, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in pre-operative care or related fields is highly preferred.

The successful management of patient recuperation following administration of any type of anesthesia is a crucial responsibility.

In the recovery room (RR) and, if necessary, in the operating room (OR), provides support for the insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes (intubation and extubation) for patients.

Liaises with anesthesiologists and main care providers concerning patients’ concerns and altering strategies.

The primary responsibility of this position is to offer medical support to individuals who require ventilation assistance.

The role involves ensuring a secure transition of patients from one level of medical care to another upon authorization by anesthetists.

The successful candidate must be adept at utilizing and maintaining the specified equipment with precision.

Professional and responsible for providing patient-focused cardiovascular care, our Cardiac Monitoring team is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely monitoring of their heart function. Our team consists of highly trained professionals who use state-of-the-art equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs, electrocardiograms (ECG), and other diagnostic tests. We work closely with our medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient based on their unique needs and health status. In addition to providing ongoing monitoring, we also provide education and support to help patients manage their heart conditions effectively.

As a diathermy operator, you will be responsible for operating diathermy machines to heat or cool tissues in patients with various medical conditions. You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures. Your duties may include preparing equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and recording treatment outcomes. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position, along with experience in a healthcare setting.

The primary duty is prompt reporting of unique findings/incidents across the spectrum of caregiver interactions to the designated authority figure such as the nurse manager, team leader, or Physicians/Surgeons.

Ascertain the educational demands of patients and their families, and subsequently devise and execute suitable instructional methodologies.

Assess pain levels in patients and administer appropriate medication according to established procedures, taking into account individual patient characteristics and physician directives.

Work in conjunction with the theater coordinator to manage a comprehensive directory of performing arts venues.

Provides support to physicians by undertaking duties such as surgical assistance and participating in procedures such as patient cleanings during surgical processes, with additional tasks also assigned under circulating nurse roles.

Expedite the delivery of specimens to the laboratory by accurately labeling them in accordance with established protocols.

The ideal candidate must possess the ability to identify individuals who are at risk of being arrested prior to their detention or during the arrest process, and promptly provide them with essential life support measures.

Ensure proper disposal of both clinical and non-clinical waste materials in compliance with hospital protocols for waste management.

Ensure the safe administration of medications to patients, closely observe their reactions to the treatment and immediately document any negative side effects that arise.

As a responsible professional, ensure that all resource utilization is both prudent and productive by maintaining precise and prompt billing procedures for ward inventory medications and supplies.

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficient management of medical equipment on a daily basis. This includes performing routine checks during each shift, monitoring inventory levels, and promptly notifying the nurse manager of any malfunctions or issues that arise.

Effectively organize and engage in health discussions, workshops, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.

Engage in clinical evaluations as part of an ongoing quality improvement initiative.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field; at least two years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with expertise in SEO and social media; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A degree or diploma in one of the following nursing disciplines is required: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Nursing.

A degree or diploma in perioperative nursing is required for this position.

It is imperative that applicants hold current registration from the Nursing Council of Kenya along with a valid practicing license.

The candidate should possess at least two years of relevant work experience in an operating room environment.

One year of experience delivering hands-on nursing services during surgical procedures is necessary for this role.

The applicant must possess a current certificate in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
