The Lead Systems Integrator & Developer oversees the complete execution and dependability of the organization’s essential data integrations. This position involves designing and managing the data infrastructure for an expanding, multi-campus international school network, serving as the principal architect of the school’s integration backbone by constructing and maintaining automated data flows that link HR, MIS, Library, and Google Workspace systems. Responsibilities include ownership of the entire delivery lifecycle—from gathering requirements with non-technical stakeholders, through system design, development, and deployment, to continuous monitoring and documentation.

Applicants must possess a relevant academic degree, along with demonstrated experience in the specified field. Minimum educational requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree, depending on the role, supplemented by at least three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position. Preferred candidates will have additional certifications or specialized training that aligns with the job’s demands. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is highly advantageous.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related quantitative discipline is required.

We oversee and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) and Directory Services, specifically utilizing Google Workspace or comparable platforms to ensure seamless operational efficiency and user management.

Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing API-centric integration solutions to streamline and automate manual business workflows.

Demonstrates a proven capability to manage the entire project lifecycle, starting with the collection of requirements from non-technical stakeholders and culminating in deployment, ongoing monitoring, and the formal documentation handoff.

Proven ability to deploy structured logging frameworks, configure alerting mechanisms, and establish foundational observability practices for automated scheduled jobs within production environments.

Post-graduate credentials such as Data Engineering or Cloud Architecture certifications—including the Google Professional Data Engineer and AWS Certified Data Analytics credentials—are required.

Professional certifications in Power BI, Advanced Data Analytics, or Google Workspace are required.

Proficiency in Kenya’s Data Protection Act of 2019 is required.

Professional candidates will possess prior involvement in the K-12 education system or direct experience with School Management Information Systems (MIS).

Proficiency in managing and integrating data within multi-campus or multi-entity frameworks, ensuring accurate consolidation and reconciliation across organizational or geographic divisions, is required.

Proficiency in transitioning legacy on-premise scripts to serverless architectures or containerized cloud solutions is required.

Seasoned professionals with a proven track record in leadership or senior roles are sought, bringing expertise in overseeing technical documentation, establishing code standards, and facilitating knowledge transfer within a compact team environment.

Possesses a working knowledge of Integrated Library Systems (ILS), specifically Doha, with expertise in leveraging REST API functionalities for streamlined patron and catalog management.
