Key Accountabilities: Overseeing and executing critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering collaborative efforts across departments. This role demands meticulous attention to detail in managing projects, resolving operational challenges, and upholding stringent compliance standards. Additionally, the position requires proactive communication to stakeholders, facilitating seamless workflows and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct leadership-driven curriculum development workshops, engaging founders, advisors, faculty, and pivotal stakeholders to foster collaborative design and implementation of educational programs.

To craft and refine two to three concise courses for imminent release, aimed at cultivating an initial audience, validating key program hypotheses, and showcasing forward progress to collaborators and investors.

Develop a comprehensive and strategic curriculum framework and program architecture for the institution.

Craft comprehensive learning pathways, design the program’s sequence, develop individual modules, and establish clear learning outcomes.

Facilitate the seamless integration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional practice throughout all academic and training programs to enhance their relevance and practical application.

Provide guidance on effective teaching strategies, studio-based educational frameworks, and the design of student experiences.

Transform workshop findings into concise, structured curriculum materials and detailed implementation strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and facilitating smooth adoption.

Work in partnership with operations and leadership teams to organize, manage, and document workshops, ensuring their successful execution.

Recommendations regarding academic frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and the incorporation of interdisciplinary learning should be provided.

To gather insights for curriculum development, analyze and evaluate pertinent global and African creative education models.

Deliverables encompass all tangible outputs and results produced throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with established objectives and stakeholder expectations. These deliverables, whether documents, reports, software components, prototypes, or other assets, must meet specified quality standards, timelines, and specifications as outlined in the project plan or contract. Accountability for deliverables includes their timely submission, adherence to requirements, and validation by relevant stakeholders to confirm completion and suitability for intended use. Additionally, deliverables may require documentation of supporting processes, dependencies, or methodologies employed to achieve the final outcome.

Developed and led curriculum development workshops, producing comprehensive summary reports to document progress and outcomes.

Develop a comprehensive and systematically organized curriculum framework and program structure, incorporating detailed content outlines, content mapping, and lesson structures.

Two to three pre-prepared short course outlines are available for immediate deployment, each comprising a program overview, intended participant demographic, scheduled duration, and specified learning objectives.

Developing and recommending structured learning pathways as well as optimizing the sequence of educational modules.

The department seeks to implement innovative teaching methodologies and rigorous evaluation strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and measure academic progress effectively.

Develop a comprehensive curriculum roadmap and provide actionable implementation recommendations to guide educational initiatives effectively.

The comprehensive final report consolidates all aspects of curriculum development, summarizing key findings, progress, and outcomes from the initiative. It includes detailed analyses of curriculum design, implementation strategies, stakeholder feedback, and evaluation metrics to ensure alignment with educational objectives. The report serves as a definitive reference for curriculum enhancements, outlining challenges encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future improvements. Additionally, it provides actionable insights to support informed decision-making and continuous refinement of instructional frameworks.

The person best suited for this position will possess a combination of relevant qualifications and experience that align with the outlined requirements. Candidates should meet or exceed the specified criteria to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the role and contribute to the organization’s objectives.

A robust academic foundation and/or extensive professional experience in education, curriculum design, learning innovation, or creative pedagogical approaches is required.

Demonstrated expertise in designing comprehensive curricula, academic programs, or structured learning frameworks.

Experienced in leading interactive workshops, co-creation sessions, and collaborative learning initiatives with proven success.

Proven experience in creative education, studio-based learning approaches, interdisciplinary programs, or alternative educational frameworks is required.

Effective stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and strong organizational capabilities are essential for this role.

Proficiency in arts, culture, fashion, design, or related creative fields is strongly preferred.

A comprehensive grasp of African creative ecosystems and cultural contexts is highly desirable.

Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, high-velocity team settings while adapting seamlessly to evolving priorities and business demands.

Duration:

The consultancy is projected to span between 12 and 16 weeks, divided into two distinct phases. A mid-point evaluation will be conducted between these phases to evaluate progress, ensure strategic alignment, and confirm the continuation of the engagement.

The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to provide updates, insights, and recommendations that support informed decision-making across the department. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Arts Education Initiative team, reporting directly to the designated Operations Lead at Pharos Foundation.
