Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating the laundry department’s staff to guarantee the seamless delivery of all laundry services with the highest level of efficiency.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining all washing, dry cleaning, presser machines, and other laundry equipment is essential.
A comprehensive understanding of all chemical products employed, including their appropriate and cost-effective utilization, is essential. Additionally, expertise in the correct storage methods, adherence to environmental regulations, and proper disposal of all hazardous materials is required.
The manager should be regularly updated on the status of chemical consumption and any necessary requisitions, ensuring timely awareness of supply needs.
A comprehensive understanding of various textiles and their appropriate care methods is essential.
Proficient in all washing and dry cleaning processes, as well as comprehensive maintenance procedures for the entire laundry department.
Ensure that linens, uniforms, and guest laundry consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, proper pressing, accurate folding, and secure packaging before distribution.
Inspect guest laundry and staff uniforms for any defects, providing recommendations for improvements as needed.
To oversee the distribution of all articles, guaranteeing an adequate supply of linen while also facilitating the efficient management of guest linens, manager uniforms, and employee uniforms. Maintain strict control over inventory and distribution processes.
Seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrated through a proven track record of success. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher, along with specialized certifications pertinent to the role. Strong analytical abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools is required, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is a plus.
Holders of a Diploma in Housekeeping & Laundry Operations or a comparable qualification in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.
Professional experience in a comparable role is required for this position.
Proficient in fluent reading, writing, and verbal communication in English is required.
