We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill this critical role, responsible for overseeing key operational tasks while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and industry regulations. The ideal applicant must possess proven expertise in the specified field, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, and exhibit strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Primary duties include executing project plans, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring seamless coordination between departments to drive efficiency and productivity. Additionally, the position requires a track record of meeting deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will provide robust support to our dynamic science department. Serving as the cornerstone of our hands-on science experiments, the individual will oversee resource allocation and meticulously prepare experiments spanning Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Oversee and execute daily operational tasks to ensure seamless functioning of the department, including managing team schedules, coordinating project timelines, and maintaining accurate records of activities and outcomes. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and productivity across the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, resolve conflicts, and drive collective success. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on key performance indicators, project statuses, and strategic initiatives. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.

Prepare, assemble, and disassemble equipment, chemical solutions, and biological materials essential for daily practical lessons and examinations across biology, chemistry, and physics.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.

Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for chemicals, reagents, live specimens, and physics equipment through vigilant oversight and timely ordering. Perform annual audits to assess and document laboratory assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Maintain laboratory equipment by performing cleaning, calibration, and overall upkeep. Coordinate and arrange for professional repairs whenever required to ensure optimal functionality.

Ensure the secure and compliant disposal of chemical and biological hazardous waste in accordance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.

Collaborate effectively with science faculty to implement innovative experiments, offer expert technical guidance, and, when needed, support students throughout hands-on laboratory activities.

Provide instruction to students on appropriate laboratory behavior and essential safety protocols as needed.

Demonstrated expertise in the specified technical and interpersonal competencies is essential for success in this role. Candidates must exhibit strong analytical abilities alongside effective communication skills to translate complex information into actionable insights. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in dynamic professional settings. Proficiency in relevant software, tools, or methodologies is required, as is the ability to collaborate efficiently within interdisciplinary teams. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are critical to managing multiple priorities and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Prior experience in a similar capacity, along with a track record of achieving measurable outcomes, is highly desirable.

A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Applied Sciences, Education Science, or an equivalent discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a laboratory technician role is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within educational or research environments.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage concurrent requests across multiple scientific disciplines while maintaining efficiency and adherence to deadlines is essential.

Must possess excellent communication abilities to collaborate seamlessly with educators and students alike.

Capable of performing duties autonomously while ensuring consistent productivity and adherence to established standards.
