KenPHIA II Regional Warehouse Logistician(s) – ASAL Regions KENPHIA II Central Warehouse Logistician

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and local regulations governing warehouse operations.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and storage strategies to maximize space utilization.

Inventory Control:

Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
Establish and enforce inventory management processes to monitor stock levels, turnover rates, and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Logistics Coordination:

Work closely with transportation providers to schedule and manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Monitor transportation costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and negotiate contracts with logistics partners.
Address any transportation-related issues or delays promptly and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate routine reports on warehouse operations, including inventory status, order fulfillment metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Present insights and recommendations to management to facilitate informed decision-making processes

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma Certificate in Logistics Management or its equivalent.
Minimum of Five (5) years of warehousing work experience in a HIV donor funded program
Prior experience managing laboratory warehousing and logistics operations for population-based surveys will be an added advantage.
Experience distributing laboratory supplies and reagents to the last mile for non-governmental organizations and CDC/USAID funded projects.
Experience distributing temperature sensitive commodities that need to be maintained between 2 – 8 degrees (refrigerated) Centigrade/Celsius and between -15 to -35 degrees Centigrade/Celsius
Hands on experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
