Job Description

The IT & Development Assistant will spearhead ITF’s technological initiatives, driving advancements to bolster youth development efforts. This position entails overseeing the organization’s ICT infrastructure, providing technical assistance to staff, and ensuring ITF stays aligned with the latest innovations in nonprofit-focused ICT solutions.

Oversee and execute key duties encompassing the operation and supervision of critical tasks within the assigned domain, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and established standards. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to achieve departmental goals while fostering collaboration across teams to optimize performance and efficiency. Provide leadership in identifying opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and cost-saving measures to enhance overall productivity and sustainability. Maintain accountability for the successful completion of projects, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while delivering high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations. Additionally, serve as a liaison between senior management and operational teams to facilitate clear communication, streamline workflows, and support informed decision-making.

Develop and craft the organization’s print and digital communications, ensuring alignment with brand standards and messaging objectives.

Deliver fundamental technical assistance to employees and volunteers at the help desk.

Provide innovative solutions to technological challenges as required.

Perform routine maintenance on hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Design and engineer internal system applications to meet operational needs and enhance workflow efficiency.

Oversee the organization’s information systems and communications network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Formulate and oversee comprehensive ICT strategies to steer organizational expansion effectively.

Stay updated on the latest advancements and evolving patterns in information and communications technology that impact youth development initiatives and nonprofit organizations.

We seek candidates who meet the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional experience in a similar role, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Prior experience managing projects from inception to completion and a proven track record of delivering measurable results are essential. Additionally, candidates must possess strong organizational skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Dedication to a full-time position for a minimum duration of one year is required.

Education Background

A university or college student in at least their second year of studies, enrolled in a program related to Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Highly developed organizational capabilities with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet established deadlines are essential for this role.

Demonstrates exceptional skill in managing tasks autonomously as well as collaborating effectively within group settings.

Demonstrates the ability to deliver fundamental training sessions effectively.

Demonstrates a proactive approach to continuous learning and a strong commitment to contributing beyond assigned responsibilities.

ITF Volunteer staff have access to extensive opportunities; however, ITF does not offer any form of compensation. Staff members serve on a full-time volunteer basis, meaning they are responsible for their own basic living expenses, including accommodation and commuting to the office. ITF covers only specific operational costs, such as transportation for meetings, field visits, and official duties.
