Oxford University Press East Africa is seeking to fill the position with Assistant Education Business Advisor in Nairobi, available on an eight-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding sales, cultivating strong school partnerships, overseeing distributor operations, and facilitating collections and CRM reporting. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma in Education, Sales, or Marketing, along with three to five years of proven experience in educational sales. Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili is essential, as is the capability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Overseeing primary responsibilities includes managing key tasks such as coordinating project timelines, facilitating team communications, and ensuring adherence to company standards. The role involves executing operational strategies, monitoring progress, and addressing any challenges that may arise. Additionally, the position requires reviewing and approving reports, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.

Achieve designated sales targets by executing a strategic territory plan, ensuring focused and effective coverage of the assigned region.

Each day, you will conduct visits to schools and maintain precise documentation of activities.

Proactively identify and transform emerging business opportunities into actionable strategies.

Oversee the operations of bookshops and distribution networks to enhance the accessibility and prominence of products.

Collaborate in collections operations, track overdue accounts, and ensure the prompt submission of sales reports.

Ideal profile

Exceptional communication, interpersonal relationship development, negotiation expertise, and organizational proficiency are essential.

Possesses strong competencies in digital tools, technology, data analysis, and related methodologies.

Maintaining professionalism, adhering to ethical guidelines, and upholding brand integrity are essential components of this role.

Teaching experience is highly desirable.
