We are in search of a meticulous Underwriting Assistant to provide support in the insurance underwriting process. This position plays a crucial role in assessing risks, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring the precision of documentation to facilitate informed underwriting decisions.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Lead cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts, streamline processes, and foster collaboration across departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and quality standards. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Gather and evaluate information submitted by insurance applicants to assess risks and determine eligibility.

Provide support for conducting risk evaluations and making underwriting determinations.

Ensure the thorough review and preparation of documentation to verify its accuracy.

Partner with various departments and engage in ongoing enhancement projects to foster innovation and efficiency.

Must hold a minimum of five years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, and Express. Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript is mandatory. Back-end expertise is expected in SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Regis. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, while a master’s degree or equivalent experience is valued. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in Agile teams, and strong communication abilities are essential.

Proficiency in English at a B2 level (80%) is required, along with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
