KEY TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant ICT Officer is responsible for
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Providing ICT support and training to staff in line with company policy.
Overseeing user support using a helpdesk system.
Assist in ICT documentation.
Assist in creating an ICT knowledge base.
Ensuring data backup and recoverability tests are done.
Advising on emerging trends to ensure the Institution is ICT compliant.
Supporting any other department as may be called upon from time to time
IT SECURITY
Assisting in ensuring that the institution is cyber secure by monitoring and mitigating cyber threats.
Assisting to ensure safe custody of all ICT equipment’s and systems.
Continuous monitoring and maintenance to ensure integrity and availability of all ICT systems including, network, internet, applications, and servers.
Adhering to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES
Provide necessary technical assistance to the programme team.
Assisting with Programme activities such as taking videos, photos and any other area that need arises.
OTHER RELATED DUTIES
Technical support in AGM functions and Board meetings
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC:
Diploma in Information Technology
PROFESSIONAL:
Degree in Computer Science desired
EXPERIENCE
Six months experience. 2 years desired.
Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of ICT systems
