To ensure the timely and accurate transportation of goods to their designated delivery locations.

Operate articulated trucks and trailers with precision to ensure the secure and timely transportation of goods along assigned routes.

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify roadworthiness and immediately report any defects or discrepancies identified.

Ensure adherence to road traffic regulations, transport laws, and the organization’s established safety protocols.

Responsibilities include ensuring cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded in strict adherence to established handling protocols to maintain safety and operational efficiency.

Maintain precise logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and any incidents through logbook or electronic tracking systems.

Ensure strict compliance with designated schedules and routes, promptly notifying any delays or incidents as they arise.

Ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in optimal condition through meticulous cleaning, adherence to hygiene standards, and conducting regular inspections.

Work alongside fleet supervisors and mechanics to coordinate maintenance schedules and repair services.

Consistently uphold professionalism and deliver high-quality customer service during all interactions with clients, security personnel, or regulatory entities.

Implement defensive driving strategies to reduce potential hazards and reinforce a culture centered on safety at all times.

Profile

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience operating articulated trucks and trailers is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of an O’ Level qualification or its equivalent.

Hold a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an active Heavy Commercial endorsement.

Maintains an impeccable driving history, free from any significant traffic infractions or major violations.

Holders of a Certificate in Defensive Driving for Public Service Vehicles (PSV) are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of passenger transport services while adhering to road safety regulations. This certification requires demonstrated proficiency in hazard awareness, vehicle control, and defensive driving techniques tailored to high-capacity passenger vehicles. Candidates must possess a valid PSV license, a clean driving record, and prior experience in professional driving environments. Key duties include conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections, managing passenger safety protocols, and responding to on-road emergencies with composure and efficiency. Additional responsibilities may involve maintaining accurate logbooks, reporting vehicle malfunctions, and collaborating with transport authorities to uphold compliance standards.

Proficiency in Occupational Health & Safety principles will be considered a valuable asset.

Proficient in utilizing GPS tracking systems and developing optimized route plans.

Possesses a comprehensive understanding of road networks, transport regulations, and safe cargo handling procedures.
