    Job description
    This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Sales & Customer Experience efforts of one of Kenya’s fastest growing fashion brands. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for developing strategies for improving our current sales capacities and identifying/delivering ways to strengthen them. He/ she will also be responsible for attracting and retaining customers by ensuring that the customer experience at the Vivo stores is exceptional. The incumbent is expected to provide actionable insights to the business to deliver vital improvement recommendations that are mutually beneficial to the customer and the business.
    In order to achieve this, the role is critical in understanding customer needs and ensuring all elements of the offer deliver ahead of customer expectations. This requires working with Marketing and Operations stakeholders to assess levels of customer satisfaction and to create and measure standards. Underpinning this is the need to embed standards in the Vivo culture working with relevant teams to train, evaluate and reward customer focus and customer service across the business, ensuring an on-going process of improvement.
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or similar background
    7 years of experience (of which at least 4 should have been in a management role) in sales, customer experience, or strategy – preferably in the retail sector
    Demonstrated leadership skills
    Strong communicator who can influence others, actively listens and speaks with confidence
    A team player who can work collaboratively whilst still achieving set objectives
    High personal, professional and ethical standards

    Position Overview

    Spearhead the e-commerce strategy and grow sales through online platforms and digital marketing. Grow online retail partners and distribution channels.

    Essential Job Functions

    Strategic Management & Sales

    Develop and implement our e-commerce strategy
    Play key role in the strengthening and implementation of Vivo’s Omni-channel strategy in order to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience across channels
    Develop strategies to clear terminal stock effectively online
    Deliver best in-class online merchandising and an easy purchase experience to customers across the globe.
    Work closely with the creative and content team to improve product presentation including photography, video and creative.
    Continually drive improvements in the user experience and customer journey across all online touch points, in order to drive conversion rate optimization and revenue
    Work with external agencies to provide SEO analysis and recommendations.

    Digital Marketing

    Increase web traffic to our site and drive growth in numbers of online customers, online sales and customer satisfaction.
    Lead and manage SEO/SEM, website analytics tools, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
    Be the key driver in developing and optimizing the performance and digital brand marketing of the E-commerce platform.
    Develop our online product proposition and range in conjunction with our buying and merchandising teams.

    Marketing, Business Development & People Management

    Managing data collection and analysis
    Test new ventures with potential marketplaces across the globe.
    Manage high online availability and maximize product sell-through in season.
    Manage customer service from order capture to fulfilment, logistics and after sale service
    Work in association with the marketing and production teams to develop campaigns to drive web interest and sales, develop and execute sales-led communications and grow the mailing list audience/e-shots
    Oversee stock reconciliation and reorders.
    Lead and develop a growing E-commerce team including an online sales and logistics team.
