Natasha Water and Sanitation Company Limited (NAIVAWASCO) was established under the Water Act of Parliament in 2002. The company was officially incorporated on September 8, 2005, and commenced operations in 2006, initially with shareholding held by the former Natasha Municipal Council. Following the enactment of the new Constitution, all shares were subsequently transferred to the County Government of Nakuru. NAIVAWASCO operates as a private limited liability company, fully owned by the County Government of Nakuru as the majority shareholder, with the mandate to deliver water and sanitation services within Natasha Sub-County and its surrounding areas on a self-sustaining basis. At the cabinet level, NAIVAWASCO is represented by the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water, and Natural Resources, who oversees the company’s general policy and strategic direction.
