Malibu Housing Company Limited (MHCL) was incorporated in compliance with the Companies Act (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Kenya in April 2009. MHCL operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Malibu Sacco Society Limited (MSSL), which was established by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (IC PAK) in 1986.

The primary objective behind MHCL’s establishment was to provide MSSL members with accessible housing solutions by leveraging pooled resources and economies of scale. Given its achievements, particularly in lowering land acquisition costs, the company has expanded its services beyond Sacco members to include the public, who voluntarily engage in MHCL’s housing projects. With over 11,000 active members and a three-decade presence in the financial services sector, MSSL continues to serve as a dedicated savings and credit cooperative for accountants in Kenya.
