The ICT Authority is a government agency operating under the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Technology. Established in August 2013, it serves as the central body responsible for optimizing and consolidating the management of Kenya’s ICT resources and services. The Authority’s responsibilities include enforcing ICT standards across government institutions and overseeing electronic communications to ensure compliance and efficiency. Additionally, it fosters ICT literacy, strengthens capacity, drives innovation, and supports enterprise development in alignment with the Kenya National ICT Master plan 2017.
