About Bushiangala Technical Training Institute

Bushiangala Technical Training Institute is a publicly registered institution under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, located in Kolomna, Kaka mega County. The campus lies along the Sigalagala-Bukhara road, approximately 10 kilometers from the Sigalagala junction and about 20 kilometers from Kaka mega Town.

Established in 1991 as a skills’ enhancement center by Voluntary Service Overseas with support from the European Economic Commission, the institute initially focused on upgrading technical skills for Youth Polytechnic graduates, instructors, and managers.

In 1993, following the withdrawal of Voluntary Service Overseas, the college was transferred to the Ministry of Labour. Under new management, the curriculum shifted to offer Artisan and Craft courses.
