RESPONSIBILTIES
Process, track, and forward Import Declaration Forms (IDF) to the relevant suppliers while ensuring Certificates of Conformity and KEYS PVC exemptions are obtained.
Secure comprehensive marine insurance policies to protect inbound cargo against potential risks during transit.
Upon receipt of KEYS consignment documents during customs entry procedures, conduct a thorough processing of each document.
Procure quotations and pro forma invoices from suppliers.
Prepare system Purchase Orders (POs) and manage associated documentation.
Oversee supplier shipping schedules from the point of production through to the point of dispatch.
Ensure shipping documents align precisely with the details outlined in the original purchase order.
Source, evaluate, and obtain approval for freight quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with organizational standards.
Prepare and forward comprehensive documentation to clearing agents to expedite the customs clearance process.
Audit customs entries to ensure precise calculation and compliance with applicable taxes, duties, and levies. Prepare and oversee the documentation required for outward export sales transactions. Organize and maintain individual import files as well as official registers, ensuring they are current and accurately updated.
Before forwarding third-party logistics invoices to the Accounts department, conduct a thorough review to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with clearing agents to facilitate prompt and precise invoicing.
Consistently provide logistics progress reports to Directors, Production teams, and Stores. Process and track cargo claims related to damage or shortages, ensuring timely resolution. Additionally, perform various operational duties as delegated by management.
REQUIREMENTS
A diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management, Clearing and Forwarding, or a comparable field is required.
With a minimum of six years of experience in shipping, logistics, or customs clearance—ideally within a manufacturing environment—you are well-prepared to excel in this role.
Proficiency in local and international import/export regulations, as well as customs procedures, is required.
Demonstrates unwavering integrity and transparency in the meticulous handling of high-value regulatory documentation.
Requires meticulous attention to detail when reviewing trade documents and verifying tax figures. Demonstrates the capacity to operate effectively with limited oversight.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
