More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Enhance the overall security posture of our Cloud and network infrastructure, ensuring end-to-end protection within Mesa operations.

Provide assistance in Cloud Security and Network Architecture for all projects.

Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), establish standardized templates, and modularize configuration items and implementations to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Deploy cloud and network infrastructure tailored to meet specific requirements, with a thorough understanding of how our services and applications will operate across the network—considering factors such as capacity, capability, and utilization.

Design and deploy automated solutions for network-related controls throughout the organization, encompassing both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Develop and deploy advanced cybersecurity strategies, including artificial intelligence-driven solutions, Zero Trust frameworks, and other network security-focused initiatives.

Skilled in implementing and managing Azure security services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), Web Application Firewalls (WAS), and related solutions.

Proficient in Cloud Security Operations, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and Cloud Workload Protection with a proven track record of implementation and optimization.

Proficient in shared responsibility models within cloud environments, along with expertise in Privileged Access Management and Cloud Threat Prevention specifically on the Azure Cloud platform.

Ensures comprehensive network documentation is maintained for both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Ensures consistent network integration and standardization across regional, local market, and cloud environments.

As the primary Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Cybersecurity in one African market and the secondary SPOC for another, you will facilitate the remediation of vulnerabilities, manage patching activities, and ensure systems hardening, providing expert guidance and coordination throughout the process.

You will be responsible for maintaining and providing support for a range of cybersecurity systems, such as Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAS), Antivirus solutions, Logging platforms, as well as Network and Host-based Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

Investigate, diagnose, and resolve Level 1, 2, and 3 issues that disrupt Cybersecurity operations, ensuring minimal downtime and restored functionality.

Deliver strategic oversight to establish, maintain, and continuously enhance cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure robust protection across organizational systems and assets.

Deliver assistance in identifying and addressing cybersecurity incidents as they arise.

Set the benchmark for excellence by implementing and maintaining the Cybersecurity strategy to ensure optimal performance and adherence to industry best practices.

Conduct reviews and audits—both internal and external—to mitigate Marine Protected Area (MPA) risks and ensure compliance with established protocols.

Enhancing the company’s cybersecurity posture entails executing multiple strategic initiatives, such as implementing robust Cybersecurity Baselines, to safeguard critical assets and mitigate evolving threats effectively.

Drives significant value for the organization through measurable outcomes and strategic contributions that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Evaluates business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions that align with long-term objectives and yield tangible results. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives are executed effectively, fostering innovation and sustainable growth. Optimize the Operational & Monitoring cybersecurity baselines (CSB) controls by coordinating their implementation across all MPA-relevant business areas and processes linked to Network Security.

Develop and deploy robust network security protocols to safeguard data integrity, software functionality, and hardware systems against potential threats.

Monitor network traffic to detect anomalies and immediately address any security breaches that occur.

Perform periodic evaluations of security measures and identify potential vulnerabilities within perimeter and network systems, including unsecured ports.

Formulate, implement, and oversee comprehensive security policies and protocols to ensure adherence to established guidelines and regulatory standards.

Partner with IT and various departments to implement and maintain robust security protocols across the organization.

Continuously monitor emerging security trends, evolving threats, and innovative technology solutions to maintain awareness and adaptability in the field.

Provide training/Knowledge share and support to staff on network security practices.

Facilitate comprehensive internal and external audits pertaining to Technology systems and processes, guaranteeing that such systems remain free from any documented audit findings and that all identified findings are resolved within the stipulated timeframes.

To guarantee adherence to legal, regulatory, and key stakeholder mandates within the Technology domains, this role involves overseeing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure operational alignment with all applicable requirements.

Ensures adherence to the Cybersecurity managed services contract, verifying compliance with the agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maintain operational standards and contractual obligations.

Provide support to ensure the validation, timely execution, and accuracy of technology audit checklists and user access rights reviews.

The oversight of analytical workflows and the implementation of incident response protocols are essential duties. This role involves managing the integration of analytical procedures with response strategies to ensure seamless operations and effective issue mitigation.

Ensure strict adherence to established procedures and methodologies for implementing and managing changes across all Technology systems, whether planned or unplanned.

Assist in the implementation and enhancement of Security and Privacy by Design Assurance (SODA) frameworks to ensure alignment with GDPR mandates and overarching business objectives.

Regularly assess and enforce security policies and controls to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and the dynamic security environment.

Responsibilities include establishing and configuring analytics frameworks and tools to support comprehensive data collection and analysis processes.

Foster ongoing enhancements by streamlining critical cybersecurity processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Facilitate comprehensive internal and third-party service review meetings focused on evaluating performance metrics, identifying actionable service enhancements, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing operational processes.

Provide strategic recommendations to enhance cybersecurity service improvement initiatives and ensure all proposed actions are executed promptly and thoroughly.

Educate all MPA users and third-party vendors on information security best practices through ongoing awareness campaigns and specialized training sessions.

Planned driving incidents and developed communication protocols for both internal and external audiences to ensure timely and effective emergency response.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; alternatively, relevant professional experience may be considered. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with strong problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Git, Docker) is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ability to analyze complex technical challenges and design scalable solutions is a key requirement. Prior experience in [specific industry or role, if applicable] is preferred but not mandatory.

Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical discipline.

Experienced professionals with a strong background in Network Security, holding a senior specialist or comparable position, are sought after for this role.

Extensive expertise in network protocols, firewall systems, VPN technologies, and various security tools is required.

Professional certification in network security is required, such as Compton Security+ or CCNA Security, demonstrating expertise in safeguarding network infrastructures.

Proficiency in advanced network security methodologies is required. Candidates must possess expertise in safeguarding network infrastructure, mitigating vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security protocols. A deep understanding of encryption, threat detection, and access control mechanisms is essential. Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and incident response procedures is also necessary.

With a minimum of five years of specialized experience in Network Security, expertise is required in Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls, VPN administration, content filtering solutions, and security scanning tools.

A minimum of two years of specialized experience in the implementation and maintenance of Network Security Solutions is required.

Demonstrated proficiency with various security tools is required for this role.
