Job Summary
At Pearl Hospital, a Level 4 multi-specialty facility situated in Lavinia County, we are currently seeking an experienced Health Records and Information Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and safeguarding patient health records and information systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, accessibility, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that patient records are accurately maintained and kept current.
Organize and maintain accurate records by following established protocols for filing, retrieving, and storing medical documents.
Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of patient records by monitoring their completion.
Collect, authenticate, and evaluate patient information to generate reports for analytical use.
Maintaining patient information at utmost secrecy is an essential task while preserving full disclosure to authorized personnel only.
Candidates for the role must have at least 2 years of experience in software development and be proficient in Java or Python programming languages. They should also possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Additionally, candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and have experience working on enterprise-level projects. They should also be comfortable using software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.
A qualification in Health Records and Information Technology or a relevant discipline is required for this position.

A minimum of one to three years of professional experience within a medical or healthcare environment is required.
Proficiency in fundamental computing competencies and knowledge of electronic health records (EMR) systems are desirable assets.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, have excellent communication abilities, and be able to work well in a team environment. They should also have experience with data analysis software such as Excel or SQL, and be comfortable working independently to manage their own projects. In addition, the successful applicant will need to be adaptable, proactive, and capable of multitasking effectively.
A meticulous eye for precision is essential in this role.
The Analytical and Reporting position requires a skilled individual to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data in a clear and concise manner. This role involves identifying trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets using various analytical tools and techniques. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling reports that effectively communicate these findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. In this capacity, the individual must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to efficiently plan and organize tasks as well as allocate time effectively is essential for this role.
