The Role
The Sales Manager position, headquartered in Kisumu, will focus on driving the company’s revenue expansion. This executive role demands a strategic mindset coupled with direct team leadership. You will serve as the critical link between our production strengths and the market’s infrastructure demands.
Oversee and execute a diverse range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment. Lead cross-functional initiatives, fostering collaboration among teams to achieve organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance. Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance to support decision-making. Monitor progress against goals, analyze performance metrics, and recommend data-driven improvements to optimize outcomes. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and ethical guidelines while maintaining a high level of accountability. Play a pivotal role in driving innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth within the organization.
Develop and implement thorough sales strategies for the complete range of products, which includes Ballast, Aggregates, Ca bros, Building Blocks, Asphalt Concrete, and Precast items.
With expertise in business development, your core responsibility will involve discovering and capitalizing on premium opportunities across the construction, real estate, and public infrastructure industries.
Account Management: Foster enduring partnerships with contractors, developers, transporters, educational institutions, and corporate clients through consistent engagement and trust-building initiatives.
Market Intelligence: Analyze regional trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer demand patterns to maintain and enhance Stone field’s position as the industry leader.
Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and oversight to the sales team, ensuring alignment with and achievement of revenue objectives through consistent performance and growth.
Prepare precise sales projections, departmental budgets, and monthly performance analyses for senior leadership review.
We facilitate seamless collaboration between production and logistics teams to uphold on-time delivery and guarantee complete client satisfaction.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Professionals with at least three to five years of proven sales management experience in industries such as quarry operations, construction materials, cement production, or manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
Industry Knowledge: Possesses comprehensive expertise in Kenya’s construction sector and building materials’ industry.
Demonstrates strong leadership with a track record of effectively managing sales teams and delivering exceptional results under demanding conditions.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and practical experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Exceptional proficiency in negotiation, communication, and interpersonal interactions is required.
A valid driving license is highly beneficial for this role.
