Job Summary

The Doctor Liaison Officer will proactively cultivate strong partnerships with physicians currently affiliated with 3rd Park Hospital, ensuring their continuous support to enhance service quality and expand their professional capabilities. This role involves recognizing avenues to strengthen physician retention, address communication barriers, and effectively convey the hospital’s evolving services and capabilities to medical professionals.

Oversee the day-to-day execution of core duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to established policies. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Monitor progress through detailed reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact for team members, stakeholders, and external partners, fostering clear communication and resolving escalated issues. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, supporting their professional growth and development. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards while upholding the highest ethical and operational standards.

Develop and nurture enduring professional connections with admitting and referring physicians to enhance collaborative patient care.

Facilitate seamless patient referrals and enhance collaboration between specialized healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Address existing communication barriers to enhance physician satisfaction and bolster retention rates. By identifying and resolving inefficiencies in information exchange, this role aims to create a more cohesive and supportive professional environment for medical staff.

Serve as the primary liaison for addressing physician inquiries and resolving support-related issues.

Provide timely updates regarding the latest advancements in hospital technologies, equipment, and services to ensure awareness and informed decision-making.

Gather input from physicians and communicate any critical issues to senior leadership for resolution.

Collaborate effectively with insurance and finance teams to facilitate seamless pre-authorization processes and payment operations.

Preserve meticulous documentation of physician engagements within the CRM system to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date records.

Serve as the hospital’s official representative at various professional gatherings, including networking events, seminars, and meetings.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a closely related field is required.

Accumulated 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in healthcare sales, cultivating physician relationships, or performing comparable liaison functions.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with robust networking capabilities and a talent for cultivating meaningful professional relationships, are essential.

Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required.

Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with hospital operational frameworks are essential for this role.

The organization will evaluate your performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which serve as measurable metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of your role. These indicators are designed to track progress against predefined objectives, ensuring alignment with both individual and team goals. Regular monitoring of these KPIs will provide insights into your contributions, enabling data-driven decisions to optimize productivity and outcomes.

The total number of patient referrals has shown steady growth.

Skilled physicians across all areas of expertise remain actively engaged and dedicated to their roles.

Conduct face-to-face meetings with referring physicians to establish and maintain professional relationships, ensuring clear communication of patient care needs and collaborative planning.

Professionals in this role will address and resolve issues or complaints raised by admitting physicians, leading to improved satisfaction and efficiency in the admissions process.
