Overseeing a range of essential tasks and fulfilling key obligations, the incumbent will be responsible for executing a variety of responsibilities integral to the role. This encompasses managing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols, and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals through diligent performance of assigned duties. Conduct comprehensive examinations, diagnose accurately, and provide effective management for prevalent oral and dental conditions.

Perform a range of dental procedures, including tooth extractions, scaling and polishing, dental fillings, and oral prophylaxis.

Provide patients with detailed instruction on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care measures.

Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of patient records and treatment details to ensure comprehensive and compliant clinical records.

Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols throughout the dental clinic to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff and patients.

For complex dental procedures, refer patients to dental surgeons and specialists as needed.

Develop and enforce Ministry of Health (MOH) oral health policies and standards to ensure compliance and alignment with national healthcare objectives.

Seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, along with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices in the field is highly preferred.

Obtained a recognized diploma or degree in Community Oral Health.

Holders of a current, valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) are required for registration.

Minimum of three years of post-internship professional experience is required.

Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), with comprehensive training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, ensuring preparedness to respond effectively in emergency scenarios. Proficient in recognizing and intervening during cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and other life-threatening conditions, adhering to the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. Maintains current certification to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Experienced in providing comprehensive dental hygiene care, with a thorough understanding of oral health principles and adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.

Skilled in utilizing computer applications, with a strong emphasis on Health Management Information Systems.

Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Exhibits effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly across teams. Proficient in managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Possesses adaptability to evolving business needs and technological advancements. Shows initiative in identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiencies. Maintains a customer-focused mindset to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.

Proficient in executing standard dental procedures, including examinations, extractions, prophylaxis, and fluoride application.
