Government
"Nark County: A devolved unit in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley."
Nark County Government was established under the provisions of the County Governments Act of 2012, as outlined in Kenya’s 2010 Constitution. It is one of the 47 devolved administrative units located in the Great Rift Valley, in the southern region of the country, bordering the Republic of Tanzania. The County’s headquarters is situated in Nark Town, along the Nark-Nakuru Road.
Nark County is divided into six (6) sub-counties: Nark North, Nark West, Nark East, Nark South, Transmara East, and Transmara West. Additionally, it collaborates with Kannada County within the Nark-Kajiado Economic Block (NAK AEB), an initiative aimed at enhancing key economic sectors to boost exports to regional and international markets.
