The ideal candidate will provide robust support to our dynamic science department. Serving as the cornerstone of our hands-on science experiments, they will oversee the management of resources and preparation of experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Oversee and manage daily operational tasks to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to established protocols. Direct and coordinate activities across various departments, fostering collaboration and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain productivity and quality standards. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to streamline processes and mitigate risks. Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and ensure high levels of engagement and accountability. Prepare and present reports to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

Prepare, establish, and dismantle the necessary laboratory apparatus, chemical solutions, and biological materials for daily practical sessions and assessments across biology, chemistry, and physics.

Ensure unwavering compliance with established health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and regulated work environment.

Monitor and regulate stock levels for chemicals, reagents, live specimens, and physics equipment, ensuring appropriate quantities are available. Oversee the ordering process to maintain optimal inventory. Perform comprehensive annual audits to verify the accuracy and condition of laboratory assets.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and upkeep of all laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate and schedule specialist repairs for equipment requiring professional servicing as needed.

Responsible for the secure and compliant disposal of chemical and biological hazardous waste in accordance with applicable safety and regulatory standards.

Collaborate effectively with science educators to innovate lab activities, offer specialized technical guidance, and, when necessary, support learners during hands-on experiments.

Provide students with instruction on appropriate laboratory behavior and essential safety protocols as needed.
