Oversee and facilitate the personalized case management procedures by leading the BIA and BID development efforts within the field offices.

Develop a comprehensive capacity-building strategy aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of caseworkers and key stakeholders engaged in the BIA & BID processes.

Contribute proactively to interagency coordination initiatives, including participation in BID panels, CPWG sessions, and case conferences conducted at the field office level.

Analyze training schedules for caseworkers and deliver technical assistance and direction to ensure the successful execution of the BID/BIA process.

Ensure efficient handling of data and documentation of cases at the camp level, collaborating with MEAL assistants to maintain precise records of children in the CPMs database, while regularly updating case progress.

Develop and enhance the overall program contingency plan as required to ensure robust risk mitigation strategies are in place.

Deliver specialized technical assistance for intricate cases or challenging technical issues.

Prepare comprehensive progress reports punctually, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data regarding Child Protection initiatives, and contribute to routine situation reports, as well as monthly and quarterly updates.

Provide oversight to ensure accurate administration of BID/BIA documentation at the camp site, encompassing thorough case evaluations.

Conduct periodic meetings and on-site assessments with key individuals, including the child, their family members, teachers, community leaders, and neighbors, to gather essential information.

Attend camp-level interagency meetings and collaborate in establishing and strengthening connections with external partners, agencies, government entities, and the local community to prioritize and resolve child protection concerns effectively.

Adhere to all applicable Save the Children policies and procedures pertaining to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, security, equal opportunities, and any other relevant guidelines.

Oversee the scheduling of annual leave and time off for caseworkers to maintain continuous program operations with minimal disruption.

Gather essential data and collaborate with the MEAL team on a monthly basis, verifying accurate data capture.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners while proactively advocating for and resolving child protection concerns.

To oversee the identification and follow-up of children placed in alternative care arrangements, while ensuring diligent monitoring of foster parents and guardians, is a critical responsibility of this role.

Ensure that children placed in alternative care arrangements fully comply with SCI’s established procedures and align with the Kenya Alternative Care Guidelines (Guidelines for Alternative Care of Children in Kenya, 2011).

Gather complaints and feedback from field activities, then ensure this information is promptly transmitted to MEAL officers for the purpose of updating the CFRM database.

Serious complaints and feedback must be promptly elevated to the program manager and the designated child safeguarding focal point within the field office.
